Description
Our records indicate that your vehicle was repaired using certain steering tie-rod ends that may fracture, resulting in front axle steering disconnection. Note this recall affects vehicles previously repaired using any of the following service part numbers FC4Z-3280-FA and FC4Z-3280-HA which were sold between April and June of 2024.
Safety Risk
If your vehicle experiences a tie-rod end fracture, the passenger side wheel will become disconnected from the steering system leading to degraded steering precision, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to perform an inspection of the steering tie-rod assembly and to determine if additional repairs will be necessary free of charge parts and labor.
