Building vehicles you can count on is one of our most important jobs, which is why Ford has issued a voluntary safety recall for some 2022–2023 Mustang models.
On these models, the steering wheel may oscillate without warning (alternating clockwise/counterclockwise) during steering due to the electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) providing unintended steering assist. This unintended steering assist could lead to loss of vehicle control while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will update the software in the vehicle’s Power Steering Control Module (PSCM). Complimentary Ford Pickup & Delivery may be provided at participating Ford Dealerships. Ford has not issued instructions to stop driving your vehicle under this safety recall.
