Description
On your vehicle, improperly machined connecting rods may have been installed in your engine assembly. This may result in a failure of the connecting rod bearing, bolts, or the connecting rod cap itself, any of which may lead to engine failure and a loss of motive power.
Safety Risk
A loss of motive power while driving can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Parts are now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to inspect the connecting rods, and if the inspection fails, to replace the engine long block assembly free of charge
