Who leaves ratings and reviews?
Ratings and reviews are provided by customers who have either purchased a vehicle or visited a dealership for service.
How are ratings and reviews collected?
Customers are invited to participate in a survey administered by MaritzCX, an independent, third-party supplier.
Can dealerships edit or remove reviews?
No. Ford personnel and/or dealership personnel cannot modify or remove reviews.
Are reviews modified or monitored before being published?
MaritzCX moderates public reviews to ensure they contain content that meet Review guidelines, such as:
‣No Profanity or inappropriate defamatory remarks
‣Fraud
‣No Personal Identifying information (e.g., customer phone number or email)
‣No Competitor references (e.g., another brand or dealership)
‣Dangerous behavior (e.g. threatening to harm employees or others)
‣Lack of adequate text (e.g., symbols, emoji’s and random letters)

Safety Risk
A blank ipc screen will prevent the driver from seeing critical vehicle information such as the speedometer, warning lights, and warning messages. The inability to see this information increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Software is available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has released a software update that is available ota as a remedy for this recall. Should the software fail to load or install properly after following the instructions below, or if you prefer to bring your vehicle to your dealer, Ford has authorized your dealer to install the update free of charge under the terms of this program.

On your vehicle, the infotainment screen may freeze followed by a black screen and a system reboot. If this occurs during a backing event, the rear-view image may be frozen, missing, or delayed.
Safety Risk
A frozen rear-view camera display image while in reverse can reduce the drivers view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Software is now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has released software for 25S49. Your vehicle is capable of Ford software updates. When automatic updates are turned on standard from the factory, the software will be downloaded to your vehicle over a private wi-fi network or through your vehicles modem through the cellular network. Before the software is installed you will have to schedule a day and time when you will not need the vehicle for up to 8 hours while the installation is completed. On your vehicle it is possible that the trailer module trm may lose communication at vehicle start-up. If a trm loss of communication occurs and a trailer is connected to the vehicle, trailer stop lamps and turn signal indicators will not function. Additionally, for trailers equipped with electronic trailer brakes, the trailer brakes will not function. This loss of communication can occur with-or-without a trailer connected to the vehicle and can only initiate at vehicle start-up. If this occurs, a trailer brake module fault notification will pop-up on the vehicles instrument panel cluster. The vehicle brake and turn signal lamps will continue to operate normally and are not affected by this trm fault. If you do not tow with your vehicle, you may wait for ota deployment for your vehicle remedy.

This may result in inoperable trailer brake lights, trailer turn signals and trailer braking functions that can reduce a drivers ability to control an attached trailer and make the trailer less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
