Description
On your vehicle, it may be possible to experience a loss of brake boost while driving. A loss of brake boost can cause a change in brake pedal feel and increased pedal travel. If this occurs, the anti-lock brake system ABS, electronic stability control esc, and brake telltales will illuminate, and informational messages will be displayed in the instrument cluster. Additionally, you will receive an audible alert.
Safety Risk
An unexpected loss of brake boost while driving can result in increased stopping distance, which increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Software is now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to update the anti-lock brake system ABS module software, free of charge.
