Description
In the affected vehicles, the unfused 12 volt battery cable is not secured properly and may contact the starter generator.
Safety Risk
If the battery cable contacts the starter generator during vehicle operation, it may cause damage to the battery cable insulation, creating the potential for a short circuit and increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Parts are now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to move the battery cable away from the starter generator and secure the cable to the adjacent high voltage cable free of charge parts and labor.
