On your vehicle, the transmission shift cable may have been installed incorrectly
Safety Risk
This could result in a vehicle being shifted into reverse without the brakes applied, potentially resulting in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of accident or injury.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to replace the transmission shift cable bracket and adjust the shift cable free of charge parts and labor.
