Description
On your vehicle, certain fasteners within the instrument panel assembly, including an electrical ground connection for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC system may not have been tightened to specification during assembly. A loose ground connection for the HVAC system can result in an inoperative blower Motor.
Safety Risk
A loss of blower Motor function causes an inability to defog or defrost the windshield, reducing driver visibility. A loss of visibility from the windshield increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Parts are available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to inspect and resecure the affected instrument panel fasteners free of charge.
