Description
Certain 2015 and 2016 transit vehicles equipped with a 3.2 l diesel engine may experience fuel volume control valve or fuel injector clogging that could result in a no start or an engine stall while driving without warning or the ability to restart. Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.
Safety Risk
An engine stall while driving, without warning or the ability to restart can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to inspect the fuel system for metallic debris and replace the high pressure fuel pump. If metallic debris is found, your dealer is authorized to also replace all high pressure fuel system components and flush the low pressure fuel system to remove the contamination. This service will be performed free of charge parts and labor.
