Link a Phone As A Key to SYNC 4a

Link your Phone As A Key^™* so that you can use the Ford app to lock or unlock doors, start or stop your vehicle remotely, or control the liftgate from your smartphone. Use the information below to link your Phone As A Key to your SYNC^®* 4A profile.

Linking Phone As A Key to Your SYNC 4A Profile

Follow the steps below.

1. Tap the Vehicle image on the left-hand side of your vehicle's SYNC screen.
2. Press Settings.
3. Select Personal Profiles.
4. Tap Link Phone.
5. Log in to the Ford app.  

6. Hold down the Lock button on the Ford app until a blue checkmark appears on your vehicle's SYNC screen.  
    

   

       

   

    
    

7. Please do not make any changes while saving occurs. Once the settings are saved, you can press Done.
