How do I set up or cancel automatic payments for my Ford Credit account?
You can set up or cancel automatic payments in the Ford Credit Mobile App or Account Manager before 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), two or more business days before your due date.
Overview
There are two ways to manage your Autopay with Ford Credit.
Ford Credit Mobile App
Turn On Automatic Payments
- Download the Ford Credit Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Once the app is downloaded, click Sign In to enter your username and password.
- If you have a Ford account, use those credentials.
- If you do not have an account, click Create Account next to “Don’t have an account?” on the login page.
- After you sign in, select Turn On Automatic Payments under the make a payment button.
- Choose the payment method you want to use. Add a bank account if none is saved or want to use a new one. Select the listed bank account to view other available bank accounts if two bank accounts are saved and you do not want to use the default one.
- Select Agree and Turn On.
- Review the confirmation that automatic payments are turned on, when they will start, and what day of the month your payments will pull.
- Select Go to Home.
Note: On the home screen, a green circle next to Manage Automatic Payments means your account is enrolled in AutoPay.
Turn Off Automatic Payments
- Download the Ford Credit Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Once the app is downloaded, click Sign In to enter your username and password.
- If you have a Ford account, use those credentials.
- If you do not have an account, click Create Account next to “Don’t have an account?” on the login page.
- After you sign in, select Manage Automatic Payments.
- Select Cancel Payment Series.
- Select Yes, Cancel to confirm that you want to stop automatic payments.
- Select Go Back if you want to keep your account enrolled in AutoPay.
- You will land on the Home page.
Note: After you cancel, the home page shows Turn On Automatic Payments, which means your account is not enrolled in AutoPay.
Account Manager Online
Turn On Automatic Payments
- Go to accountmanager.ford.com.
- Click Sign In to enter your username and password.
- If you have a Ford account, use those credentials.
- If you do not have an account, click Create Account next to the Sign In button on the Ford Credit login page.
- After you sign in, select Turn On next to "Automatic payments off”. Then select Set Up Autopay.
- Choose the payment method you want to use. Add a bank account if none is saved or want to use a new one. Select the drop-down under payment method if two bank accounts are saved and you do not want to use the default one.
- Click Turn On Automatic Payments.
- Review the confirmation message that says you have successfully enrolled in automatic payments and shows when the next automatic payment is scheduled.
Turn Off Automatic Payments
- Go to accountmanager.ford.com.
- Click Sign In to enter your username and password.
- If you have a Ford account, use those credentials.
- If you do not have an account, click Create Account next to the Sign In button on the Ford Credit login page.
- After you sign in, select Manage next to "Automatic payments on".
- Select Edit Automatic Payments on the Automatic Payments page.
- Select Turn Off Automatic Payments.
- Select Yes, Turn Off on the pop-up message.
- Review the confirmation message, "You have successfully turned off automatic payments".
Notes:
- The automatic payments service deducts the current amount due from your bank account on your monthly due date.
- Debits continue until your contract is paid in full or you request cancellation.
- If your due date falls on a non-business day, the debit occurs on the next business day.
- You will receive an email confirmation after you enroll in automatic payments.
- You cannot choose the automatic payment amount. The service deducts the invoiced amount on the monthly due date.
- If you want to make additional payments, select the Principal Only (Retail) or Custom Amount (Lease) option in Account Manager or the Ford Credit Mobile App.
- You can view online statements at any time in the Transaction History section of Account Manager and the Ford Credit Mobile App.
