Why do I not see my utility provider?
Not every utility has incentive programs with Ford Energy Rewards.
Confirm if your utility provider has a program in your area by taking the following steps:
- Go to the Ford Energy Rewards website.
- Tap Get Started.
- Enter your ZIP code.
- Click Search Utilities.
If your utility does not have an incentive program, you will not be able to enroll in Ford Energy Rewards at this time. However, you may provide an email address to be notified when your utility becomes available.
What can I do to help make sure my enrollment application is complete?
When applying to enroll in Ford Energy Rewards, ensure you have the following:
- Your electric utility account number.
- The name on your electric utility bill (if different from your name).
- At least one complete charging session at your home charging location so that your home is correctly identified.
Important: If you have not charged at home yet, do a quick charging session at home before applying:
- Start with your vehicle unplugged.
- If it is currently plugged in, unplug your vehicle from your home charging solution.
- Wait at least 10 seconds.
- Plug your vehicle into your home charging solution.
Note: If your vehicle is marked as "Waiting to Charge" in the Ford app, tap the Start button to initiate a charging session immediately.
- Wait 30 minutes.
- Attempt to enroll.
What should I do if my enrollment cannot be confirmed, is taking a long time, or was rejected?
If your provider cannot confirm your Ford Energy Rewards enrollment or your enrollment is delayed, confirm that your electric vehicle's (EV) connectivity settings are turned on in your vehicle.
If you receive an email saying your enrollment is pending or wait listed, one of the following has occurred:
- Pending Enrollment: Your utility is still working through the enrollment.
- Wait list: The pilot is at capacity and the utility has put your application on a wait list. You will be notified later if the utility is able to complete enrollment.
If you receive a rejected email stating that your enrollment cannot be confirmed, you can re-apply on the Ford Energy Rewards website.
Important: Ensure that you include the correct account number when you reapply.
