What is the TXU Energy Free EV Miles for Ford Drivers plan?

To qualify for the Free EV Miles for Ford Drivers, you must:

• Be a Texas resident, living at an address that TXU serves. You can confirm this by going to www.txu.com/freeevmilesford.
• Have an active Ford account.
• Have a qualifying vehicle with an active modem. Qualifying vehicles include:
  • 2021 or later Mustang Mach-E^®.
  • 2021 or later F-150^® Lightning^®.
  • 2022 or later E-Transit^™.
  • 2021 or later Escape^® PHEV.

No. Because Ford shares charging data from your vehicle, it does not matter if you use a Ford home charger or any third-party brand of charger.

When you enroll, TXU Energy will email you with instructions about how to authorize Ford to share your home charging data with TXU Energy. 

To authorize data sharing and link your vehicle:

1. Click the link in the email.
2. Log in to your Ford account.
3. Select the vehicle you want linked to your TXU Energy account.
4. Read and agree to the Permissions, allowing Ford to share home charging data with TXU Energy.
5. Click Authorize.

You will receive an email from TXU Energy confirming your vehicle is linked.

Important: To calculate your bill credits, TXU Energy needs to receive data from your vehicle when charging at home. If you unlink your vehicle or turn off data sharing in the vehicle, you may lose bill credits.

You can re-link your vehicle by going to the privacy section on the Ford app^* account screen or your Ford account and turn on data sharing with TXU Energy.

You can re-enable your Connectivity Settings on your in-vehicle touchscreen.

You can set your vehicle to charge during off-peak hours by scheduling your Preferred Charge Times for 10 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the Ford app^* or your vehicle's touchscreen.

Before you redeem your prepaid debit card, you must:

• Enroll in TXU Free EV Miles for Ford Drivers.
• Authorize Ford to share your data with TXU Energy.

To redeem your prepaid debit card:

1. Go to the Ford Rebates website.
2. Enter your:
   • Date of enrollment with the program.
   • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
   • ZIP code.

3. Select your Ford Dealer. 

   Note: Your Dealer will not be notified of your TXU enrollment, but your Dealer is required for other rebates using this same process.

4. Select TXU Incentive Prepaid Debit Card under Method.
5. Confirm and enter your:
   • Name
   • Address
   • Email
6. Click Submit.

Important:

• Online submissions for prepaid cards take 4–6 weeks.
• When activating your card, the passphrase is the first 5 digits of your zip code. If you have trouble activating it, you can call 1-877-310-3674 to confirm you have the correct passphrase.
• Only one prepaid debit card can be awarded per household.
• Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced.
