Will the F-150 Lightning Pro receive software updates?

Yes. It will have software updates for the SYNC®* 4A and SYNC 4 systems.

Can I remove the bed of my F-150 Lightning Pro?

No.

Is there a way to tap into the power to run accessories, such as strobe lights?

The F-150 Lightning has power outlets in the cab, bed, and frunk, but it does not have auxiliary switches to tap into.

How fast can the F-150 Lightning charge?

Using a 150 kilowatt (kW)+ direct current fast charger (DCFC), the standard-range 98 kilowatt hour (kWh) pack can charge from 15-80% in about 36 minutes. The extended-range 131kWh pack can charge from 15-80% in 41 minutes.**

What is the power of the onboard chargers?

The standard-range onboard charger input is 11.3 kilowatt (kW), and the extended-range dual onboard charger is 19.2kW. Vehicle onboard chargers limit the amount of power a vehicle can accept during charge events. 

Consider the onboard charger's capability in relation to the power capacity of your charging equipment, as well as the spare power available in your home's energy circuit, when deciding on the right home charging solution for you.

Can any Ford Dealer service the F-150 Lightning Pro?

The F-150 Lightning Pro can be serviced at over 600 Ford electric vehicle (EV)-certified Commercial Vehicle Centers, along with the over 2,300 EV-certified Ford Dealers that are also ready to provide parts and service as needed.

How much lower are the scheduled maintenance costs of the F-150 Lightning?

The F-150 Lightning is expected to offer a lower total cost of ownership among F-Series trucks with:

  • 40% savings in scheduled maintenance versus a gas-powered F-150 over an eight-year/100,000 mile period.
  • Lower on average fuel costs.†
