F-150 Lightning Pro Charging FAQs
Select a question from the drop-down options below to learn more about charging the F-150 Lightning Pro:
What charging devices are available with F-150 Lightning Pro?
The available 120/240-volt (V) 30 amp (A) Mobile Power Cord offers an average of about 14 miles per charging hour on a 240V outlet. Plus, Ford Commercial Solutions can help manage your home fleet with features like charge usage data to support driver reimbursement and alerts if a vehicle is not plugged in.
The 2025 F-150 Lightning Pro has an available dual onboard charger and can charge up to 80A with the Ford Charge Station Pro.
Will the F-150 Lightning Pro also be able to charge in public at non-Ford networked chargers?
Access to North America’s largest public charging network* eliminates the need to register with multiple charging networks or download multiple apps and allows for centralized billing. Standard Connected Built-In Navigation allows you to access real-time charging station information. In addition, the F-150 Lightning Pro drivers can charge at non-Ford networked chargers that utilize the industry-standard plugs (J1772 or CCS).
Note: Some charging network providers require individual registration before charging.
Why should employees charge at home?
Charging overnight reduces vehicle and driver downtime and ensures the battery is fully charged to start the workday. Ford's fleet-wide energy monitoring and vehicle management tools can provide fleet managers with reporting to support reimbursement for employees who charge at home.
Can the batteries be recycled?
All Ford electric vehicle (EV) batteries are recyclable. In addition, Ford has recently partnered with Redwood Materials to build out a more sustainable battery life-cycle.
What happens if I run out of charge on the road?
Ford Roadside Assistance can help. You can choose where you would like to have your vehicle towed and recharged within 35 miles of your vehicle location: your home, a public charge station, or an EV-certified Ford Dealer. If beyond 35 miles, Ford will take you to the nearest available option. Ford Roadside Assistance in the U.S. is included with your F-150 Lightning Pro for 5 years/60,000 miles (from date of sale to whichever comes first), with the option to extend after that.
