How do I change the Vehicle Connectivity and Privacy settings on my Ford?

You can enable or disable Vehicle Connectivity through the settings menu of your SYNC®* or Ford Digital Experience®** system using the instructions in this article.

We recommend keeping Vehicle Connectivity on for the best update experience.

Turning Vehicle Connectivity Settings On and Off

Important: Ensure your vehicle is in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area.

Select your SYNC generation or Ford Digital Experience from the drop-down options below to learn how to modify your connectivity settings. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.

Note: If your SYNC generation is not listed, it does not have Vehicle Connectivity settings.
