What are you announcing with onX?
We are offering eligible Ford owners one year of complimentary access across the highest tier of all four onX apps, which can be used seamlessly in-vehicle via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. By being able to display onX’s navigation maps on the in-vehicle screen, exploring will be easy. And, when you know you will not have connectivity coverage, you can download maps ahead of time to explore with confidence.

Built for off-roaders, by off-roaders, the company strives to create the most complete, current, and accurate mapping app available on the market.
What is the offer?
Now through 2028*, eligible Ford owners can enjoy a complimentary year of onX Elite. This Ford promotional offer provides access to all four apps: for onX Hunt, Offroad and Backcountry, Midwest (or current best subscription offering) for onX Fish (a $335 value for all four apps).
Who is eligible?
Available to U.S. Ford customers with 2017 model year or newer vehicles (new or pre-owned) with an activated modem. Customers that have an existing onX Elite membership or have had one in the twelve months prior to activation are not eligible for a complimentary offer on the same onX app.
Why is this limited to 2017 model year vehicles and newer?
A connected vehicle modem is required to authenticate the vehicle and set up an account within the Ford app**, which is eligible starting at the 2017 model year.

What happens after the 1-year free trial?
For a seamless customer experience,the onX membership will be automatically renewed. Credit card activation is required, and there is no charge if a customer chooses to cancel their membership before the renewal date. See onX Terms of Use for more information on memberships.
What if I already have an existing onX membership?
Customers that have an existing onX Elite membership or have had one in the past twelve months are not eligible for the 1-year free trial on the same onX app. Customers with an existing onX Premium membership are eligible for the 1-year free trial.
Is this offer available outside the U.S.?
Currently, the offer is only available to eligible Ford owners in the United States, excluding U.S. territories.
How do I sign up for my free year of onX as a Ford owner?
Activating your membership is simple:
- Visit the Promo Page: Go to onxmaps.com/ford.
- Sign In: Log in to your onX account (or create a new one).
- Verify Eligibility: Log in with your Ford account credentials (the same ones used for the Ford app).
- Select and Activate: Choose your qualifying vehicle and the onX app you want to use first.
I am at the website but it is asking me for a credit card. Is it still free?
Yes! The first year is complimentary. A credit card is required by onX to activate the trial offer, but you will not be charged today. You can manage your auto-renewal settings to cancel the recurring plan in your onX profile at any time. See onX Terms of Use for more information on memberships.
My Ford vehicle is not showing up in the Garage during the sign-up process. What should I do?
Please ensure your vehicle is fully connected and visible in your Ford App first. If it is in your Ford app but not appearing on the onX sign-up page, try logging out and back in. If the issue persists, we can verify your vehicle identification number (VIN) manually. Please contact 1-800-392-3673 for further assistance.
What happens to my data (waypoints, tracks, offline maps) after the year is over?
All your data is saved to your onX account. If you choose not to renew, your account will revert to a Basic (free) version, but your saved waypoints and tracks will remain there for when you decide to activate a paid plan.
Does this work with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
Yes, with the exception of onX Backcountry. For all other onX apps, once you have activated your membership and downloaded the app, simply connect your phone to your vehicle.3

onX Offroad: To explore where the pavement ends, access 650,000+ miles of routes with difficulty ratings, photos and detailed descriptions so you can choose the trail and line that is right for your skill level and vehicle.
onX Fish Midwest: Spend more time fishing and easily find new waters, verified access points, species insights, and access information on local regulations.
onX Hunt: To hunt responsibly, navigate public and private land boundaries, customize your maps, and access advanced scouting tools for the field.
onX Backcountry: Get off the beaten path with over one million miles of detailed routes for hiking and biking trails, ski routes, and climbing areas, plus 3D offline maps for when you are without connectivity.
