For properly equipped Ford models, after the initial, introductory trial period for Connected Navigation beginning on the new-vehicle warranty start date, the cost for a Connected Navigation subscription is $80/year plus any added, applicable taxes and fees. Prices are subject to change. For eligible 2024 and earlier Ford vehicle model years, customers can enjoy a 90-day trial for Connected Navigation or a 3-year trial for Connected Built-In Navigation, based on their model. For eligible 2024 and earlier Ford vehicle model years, customers can enjoy either 90-day, one year or three year trials for Connected Navigation or Connected Built-In Navigation, based on their model. For eligible 2025 and later Ford vehicle model years, customers can enjoy one year or three year trials for Connected Navigation or a 90-day trial for Connected Built-In Navigation.

Available Connected Navigation maps, helpful route details, and more detailed map features and trip planning information all remain accessible to you in your Ford vehicle, even when driving in areas without cell phone coverage. Connected Navigation also lets you access weather, gas or charging stations, parking information, Yelp reviews, traffic, and safety hazards. You get seamless maps integration since there's no need to connect a phone or download an app to get all the benefits. It can also learn where you go most frequently with available predictive destinations. ​Connected Navigation is fully connected to — and informed by — internet-based data, with maps that are frequently refreshed with the latest available traffic, construction, and street address information, ensuring you get up-to-date info for your routes.​

Based on your Ford vehicle model and your in-vehicle SYNC® Technology touchscreen, you may either receive updates automatically or you will need to request them online. Keeping your SYNC maps updated improves accuracy and helps you find more efficient routes, saving time and money. Ford vehicles equipped with SYNC® 4 Technology will automatically receive map updates through software updates during the complimentary trial and subscribed service periods. Full map updates occur once per year. Updates for the radius you drive most often occur quarterly. Connected Navigation from Ford provides available maps and detailed route navigation using software directly installed in certain Ford models with SYNC® 4 Technology. With Connected Navigation, Ford Owners with an active trial or subscription will enjoy live, streaming route details, such as traffic, construction, and weather, along with regularly updated maps for their area — including detailed map points of interest, such as house/location address numbers, venue ratings, and business hours of operation. Connected Navigation also provides access to recently downloaded and saved map details directly in the Ford vehicle SYNC® Technology touchscreen so that navigation and maps continue working based on the most recently updated information even if cell coverage drops in an area. On the other hand, smartphone navigation using Apple CarPlay® (Apple Maps) or Android Auto™ (Google Maps™) offers live, updated maps and route navigation using the mobile device software app features. It does not work if cell coverage drops in an area.
