Description
A replacement cylinder head or long block engine subassembly with a loose ball plug or ball plugs may have been installed on your vehicle during a service repair. This condition may result in a rapid oil leak if a ball plug comes out of the cylinder head.
Safety Risk
An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine components, can increase the risk of a fire. In addition, the loss of oil can result in loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Parts are now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to inspect and replace, if necessary, the engine cylinder head free of charge.
