What is a Ford Account, and why do I need one?

A Ford Account lets you sign in to the Ford website to save and manage your personal and reservation information. You need to create a Ford Account to reserve a vehicle. Reservations can also be tracked in your Ford Account at*

What is a reservation?

A reservation lets you be among the first to reserve a place in line when a new vehicle launches from Ford with a refundable reservation deposit. It is not an actual order and does not guarantee delivery.

What steps are required to complete a reservation?

  3. Create a Ford Account.
  4. Select your preferred Ford Dealer.
  5. Enter your credit/debit card details and address. A confirmation receipt will be sent to the email address you provide.*

Can I select any Ford Dealer?

To find the closest dealer:

  1. Go to
  2. Select Locate a Dealer.
  3. Input your zip code or type in a dealer name.

Note: To select an Electric Vehicle (EV)-Certified Ford Dealer, click Advance Search and select the checkbox next to EV Certified, then click Apply.

Can I update my dealer selection after submitting my reservation?

You may reach out to Ford Customer Support at 1-800-392-3673, hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST, for assistance in updating your dealer selection. When changing dealers, there will be no impact to your reservation ID, vehicle details, or associated timestamp.

Will Ford share my reservation information with my dealer?

Your reservation information will be shared with the dealer you select at the time of reservation. Please see our privacy policy at for additional information.*

Can I make changes to my reservation?

You will be able to make changes and complete your vehicle selection at the time you place your order.*

Is the reservation fee refundable?

Yes, reservation fees are refunded with reservation cancelation. Allow seven to ten business days for the reservation deposit to be credited to your original form of payment.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. You can cancel your reservation at any time and receive a full refund.* You can do this in your account at If for some reason you can’t process the cancelation online, you can contact Ford's Marketing Program Headquarters at 1-800-392-3673, hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST.

After canceling, allow seven to ten business days for the reservation deposit to be credited to your original form of payment. Once you progress from a reservation to an order with a dealer, however, cancelation requests would be at that dealer’s discretion.

When can I order my vehicle?

You will be notified prior to when the vehicle ordering windows open. At that time, you will finalize and confirm your selection and agree on pricing with your dealer.
