Can Ford locate my missing keys?
Ford is unable to locate your missing keys. If your keys are lost, and you do not have an extra one, new keys may be obtained from your Ford Dealer. For security reasons, you must visit the Ford Dealer in person and provide proof of identification and vehicle ownership.
- Personal Identification: Valid Driver's License, state-issued picture ID, or passport.
- Vehicle documentation with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the name of the person seeking the key codes:
- Current Vehicle Registration
- Current Certificate of Automobile Insurance
- Vehicle Title
- Bill of Sale
Note: The cost of this service can vary. Contact your Ford Dealer for assistance.
Program Your Own Keys
If you already have two previously programmed keys, you can program your own coded keys using the procedures outlined in your Owner's Manual under "Programming a Spare Intelligent Access Key" or "Programming a Spare Integrated Keyhead Transmitter" (also known as a smart key or key blade).
