How do I use my Ford's Valet Mode with Phone As A Key™*?

Phone As A Key is an intuitive technology that allows you to access and drive your vehicle without the need of a physical key.

Enabling Valet Mode

  1. Tap the Vehicle image on your vehicle's SYNC®** screen.
  2. Press Settings.

    •  Once the system detects a valid Phone As A Key, the temporary valet passcode will display in both the SYNC screen and the FordPass™ App.
    • If the system does not detect a valid Phone as a Key, it will prompt you to enter your Backup Start Passcode. Once validated, the temporary passcode will display on the SYNC screen.
  4. Enter the first five digits of the valet passcode on the keyless entry keypad to unlock the vehicle.
  5. Enter the eight-digit valet passcode on the SYNC screen to start and drive your vehicle.
