How do I add a vehicle to FordPass?

You can add your vehicle(s) to FordPass®* by scanning your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or entering it manually. Adding a vehicle to FordPass enables you to access features tailored to your specific vehicle model, trim, and year.

Adding a Vehicle to FordPass

Select from the drop-down options below to add your first vehicle or additional vehicles to FordPass.  

Adding Your First Vehicle

  1. Log in to the FordPass app.
  2. Tap Add Vehicle.
  3. Select Scan Code.
  4. Tap one of the following options on the pop-up message for camera access:
    • Selecting Allow will allow FordPass to access your phone's camera. The scan window will appear to capture your VIN or scan your QR Code and route you to the Vehicle screen.
       
    • Selecting Don't Allow will prevent FordPass from accessing your camera and you will need to type in your VIN.
      1. Tap Enter VIN Manually

        Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Find Your VIN link or the Find Your QR Code link.
         
      2. Enter your VIN.
      3. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the garage. 

Adding Additional Vehicles

  1. Log in to the FordPass app.
  2. Tap the Vehicle Garage icon in the top-right corner.

  4. Use one of the following options to capture your VIN:
    • The scan window: hover your phone over the VIN or QR code to position it inside the frame and scan. 
    • Manual entry: tap Enter VIN Manually, input your VIN, and tap Next

      Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Find Your VIN link or the Find Your QR Code link.

Your vehicle should appear in the Vehicle Garage. You can add a maximum of 10 vehicles to your FordPass account.
