What is eWID?
The Enterprise Wired-In Device (eWID) is a product that enables Vehicle Connectivity for vehicles that do not have the FordPass® Connect* modem installed. These Connectivity Devices use a SIM card to exchange data much like a phone.
eWID Requirements
- Have your eWID device activated by your Ford Dealer.
- Have your key fob paired by the dealership for remote commands (remote start, lock/unlock, etc.).
- Add your vehicle to FordPass®**.
- Complete the eWID activation steps in your vehicle.

Connected Services and features depend on compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. Connected services exclude Wi-Fi hotspot.
