How do I manage departure times for my electric Ford vehicle?

In the Ford app, you can add, edit, delete, or turn off your departure times. Review the steps below to learn how to update your departure times and your preferred cabin temperature.

If you have an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, your vehicle can precondition your cabin and battery for optimal range and comfort in all weather conditions.

Managing Electric Vehicle Departure Times

Select from the dropdowns below for more details on adding, editing, deleting, or turning off your departure times.

Add Departure Time

  1. Open the Ford app.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Tap Departure times.
    • If you are adding your first departure time, press Create departure time.
    • If you are adding additional departure times, select add in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Enter the depart by time.
  5. Select the days you want the departure time to apply.
  6. Choose a climate setting for the vehicle interior.
  7. Tap Save. 

Your departure time is now set.

Note: If you want to prepare the interior of the vehicle even when it is unplugged, select the Prepair cabin off plug slider on the Departure times screen.

Edit or Delete a Departure Time

  1. Open the Ford app.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Tap Departure times.
  4. Select the depature time you want to edit.
  5. Edit the departure time settings, or tap Delete.
  6. Tap Save.

Turn Off Departure Times

  1. Open the Ford app.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Tap Departure times.
  4. Toggle the All departure times slider to the left to turn off the feature.
