Description
Your vehicles engine crossmember mounting bolts could loosen over time. If these bolts become loose, you may notice a clunking noise under your feet while driving over bumps, while starting the engine andor during acceleration or deceleration.
Safety Risk
An improperly fastened engine crossmember can result in the engine slipping out of its intended position, which can lead to a loss of motive power or other vehicle system failures while driving, including brake system failures, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
A service repair and parts are now available for your vehicle. Parts are available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to replace the engine crossmember bolts free of charge.
