Description
Front hub stud heat treatment.on some of the affected stripped chassis the front wheel hub assemblies may contain studs that were not heat treated properly. Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.
Safety Risk
Ford has not made a determination that this issue presents an unreasonable risk to safety. Nonetheless Ford has decided to proceed with a proactive wheel stud replacement program to assist fords upfitters
Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to install a tie strap to the battery cable wire harness to prevent future contact with the ac compressor pulley. Your dealer will also inspect the battery cable wire harness for possible damage caused by contact with the ac pulley and repair or replace the harness as necessary. These repairs will be free of charge parts and labor.
