How do I manage scheduled remote starts for my Ford vehicle using FordPass®*?

When using the FordPass App, you have direct access to schedule starts for your vehicle. Use the instructions below for access.

Ensure your vehicle meets all requirements to use scheduled starts, which are:

Scheduled Remote Start Limitations

For best performance there are limits in place and you cannot do the following: 

  • Create duplicate scheduled remote starts.
  • Create more than 10 scheduled remote starts.
  • Save a scheduled remote start if there is an empty field e.g., time not set.
  • Create, enable, or disable a scheduled remote start within five minutes of your scheduled start time.

Select your FordPass App experience below for more information on how to add, edit, delete, or disable your scheduled starts.

Create a Scheduled Start - FordPass App 4.X Experience

To create a scheduled start in FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Select the Scheduled Start tile.
  4. Tap Add Start. 
  5. Select Time once the Schedule screen displays. 
  6. Set your desired start time and tap OK.
  7. Select Repeat.
  8. Choose the days you want your vehicle to remote start and tap Save.
  9. Select Time Zone. 
  10. Choose the Time Zone that applies to your scheduled start and tap Confirm.
  11. Tap Save.

Notes:

  • The Scheduled Start is now saved and can be enabled or disabled by tapping its toggle switch on the Scheduled Starts screen.
  • FordPass can store a maximum of ten scheduled starts.

Create a Scheduled Start - FordPass App 5.X Experience

To create a scheduled remote start in FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Scheduled Remote Starts.
    • If you are adding your first scheduled remote start, select Add. 
    • If you are adding additional scheduled remote starts, select the + in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Enter the following as needed:
    • Start Time 
    • Vehicle's Time Zone (this is auto-selected based on your timezone)
    • Repetition Schedule (which days the vehicle will be automatically started for you)
  5. Tap Save. 

Edit or Delete a Scheduled Start - FordPass App 4.X Experience

To edit or delete a scheduled start in FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Tap the Scheduled Start tile.
  4. Select a Scheduled Start.

    • To remove the Scheduled Start, tap Delete This Start at the bottom of the screen.

      Note: FordPass confirms that your Scheduled Start was removed and routes back to the Scheduled Start screen.

    • To edit a Scheduled Start, tap on any of the following options and adjust accordingly:
      • Time - Change the start time.
      • Repeat - Choose what days the Schedule Start is active.
      • Time Zone - Change the Time Zone of the Scheduled Start.
  5. Tap Save/Confirm when done on each screen.
  6. Select Save on the Schedule screen to confirm all changes.

Edit or Delete a Scheduled Start - FordPass App 5.X Experience

To edit or delete a scheduled remote start in FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Scheduled Remote Starts.
  4. Select the schedule you want to edit or remove.
    • To remove the scheduled remote start, tap Delete at the bottom of the screen. Select Delete again on the pop-up message. 
    • To edit a scheduled start, tap on any of the following options and adjust accordingly:
      • Time - Change the start time.
      • Vehicle's Time Zone - Change the Time Zone of the Scheduled Start.
      • Repetition Schedule - Which days the vehicle will be automatically started for you
  5. Tap Save.

Deactivate Scheduled Remote Start - FordPass App 4.X Experience

To turn off your scheduled start in FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Tap the Scheduled Start tile.
  4. Locate the scheduled start you want to disable. 
  5. Toggle the slider icon to the left. 

Your selected scheduled start will no longer be active. 

Deactivate Scheduled Remote Start - FordPass App 5.X Experience

To turn off your scheduled remote start in FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Scheduled Remote Starts.
  4. Locate the scheduled start you want to disable. 
  5. Toggle the slider icon to the left. 

Your selected scheduled start will no longer be active.
