What are Vehicle Health Alerts?
Vehicle Health Alerts use data from your vehicle to provide you with updates on your vehicle's health. You can view Vehicle Health Alerts in the Ford app.
Important: Your vehicle must have a modem, and that modem must be activated.
They will provide information about your:
- Powertrain.
 - Brakes and suspensions.
 - Restraints and driver assistance.
 - Checks, fluids, and filters.
 
Each Vehicle Health Alert will tell you:
- What the alert means.
 - Actions or next steps required.
Note: Recalls and Customer Satisfaction Programs will also appear on the Ford app for non-connected vehicles as well as in your Vehicle Dashboard on ford.com. 
Vehicle Health Alerts in the Ford App
Important: You can view Vehicle Health Alerts in the Ford app if your vehicle has a modem and is in an activated status.

Setting Up Vehicle Health Alerts
There is no setup required for Vehicle Health Alerts if you meet all the requirements below, as they should run automatically.
Viewing Vehicle Health Alerts in the Ford App
To check for Vehicle Health Alerts in the Ford app:
- Open the Ford app.
 - Tap the tool icon to go to the Service dashboard.
 
Any active and available alerts will appear on the screen.
Important: You must be a connected modem user to access this feature. If you do not have access, visit our Request Vehicle Access topic for steps.
Notes:
- If you experience any issues, contact Ford app support using the Account > Help options in the Ford app.
 - If you need additional help understanding your alert, you can contact your Ford Dealer.
