Can I upgrade my older SYNC system hardware?

Unfortunately, no.

Can I stream music with my older SYNC technology?

Of course, as long as you pair your Bluetooth®-enabled device with SYNC you should be able to stream music, podcasts and other audio media.

Can I send texts with older SYNC technology?

No, you cannot. Early SYNC technology only allows for incoming messages to be read. You can, however, choose from a selection of responses when your vehicle is not moving and it is safe to do so.

  1. aDon’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
