Is there a recall on my Ford vehicle?

You can check for recalls on your vehicle through the Ford Recall page or FordPass®* App.

Note: Recall letters are mailed to the vehicle's last known registered owner within sixty days of the recall being issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The Ford Recall Page

To check for recalls on the Ford Support website:

  1. Have your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) available.
  2. Go to the Recall page.
  3. Enter your VIN or log in to your account.
  4. Select Go to My Ford.

The FordPass App

To check for recalls in the FordPass App:

  1. Open the FordPass App.
  2. Navigate to the Service screen.
  3. Select the Recall tile.

Note: This tile will only appear if there is an active recall on your vehicle.

FordPass will open the Ford Recall page with information specific to your VIN. If your vehicle is involved in a recall, contact your Ford Dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

  • Title-branded vehicles remain eligible for Field Service Actions (Recalls and Customer Satisfaction Programs) unless specifically excluded in the Program bulletin.
  • Refer to your recall notification letter to see if towing is covered.
