How do I update my Ford Account or FordPass®* username?

Your Ford account and FordPass App account share the same username.  You can update your contact information in your Ford Account or the FordPass App.

Account Update Options

With a Mobile Device or Tablet

To update your Ford or FordPass account username using a mobile device or tablet:

  1. Go to Ford.com.
  2. Tap the Menu dropdown.

  3. Touch My Account​​​​​.

  4. Select Sign In.

  5. Enter your username and password.
  6. Tap Sign In.

  7. Tap the Menu dropdown.

  8. Select My Account.

  9. Tap <Your Name's> Account.

  10. Touch the Account Settings tile.

  11. Scroll down and select Edit.

  12. Update your email address, which is also your username.
  13. Tap Update.

With a PC and Mac

To update your Ford or FordPass account username using a PC or Mac:

  1. Go to Ford.com.
  2. Select Account icon - Small, blue abstract head and shoulders that resembles a person..
  3. Choose Sign In.

  4. Log in to your Ford account.
  5. Select Account icon - Small, blue abstract head and shoulders that resembles a person.
  6. Choose <Your Name's> Account.

  7. Scroll down to the Manage Your Account section, then select Edit now in the Account Settings tile.

  8. Click Edit.

  9. Select Update.

With the FordPass App

To update your Ford or FordPass account username using the FordPass App:

  1. Open the FordPass App. 
  2. Navigate to the Account landing page.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap Change Username.
  5. Complete the security prompt based on your phone's settings. 
  6. Type in your new username, which is your email address.
  7. Confirm your new username. 
  8. To make your new username your preferred contact email, check the box. 
  9. Tap Save.

After changing your username, you will be logged out of the FordPass App and will need to log back in using your new credentials (your new email address and your password).
