Connecting Your Truck Bed Camera With the Ford App

Now that you’ve installed your Truck Bed Camera, let’s get it connected to your Ford app.^*

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Monitoring: On the home screen of the Ford app, under Location & security, select the Monitoring card.
2. Add Camera: On the monitoring screen, you’ll see Truck bed live stream. Select Add camera.
3. Activate Camera: On the Add a Ford Truck Bed Camera screen. If you already have a camera, select Activate camera. (If you don’t have one, you can choose Purchase camera.)
4. Confirm Installation: The app will ask, Is your truck bed camera installed? If it is, and the hub LED lights are blinking, select Yes, activate camera. (If you need help with installation, you can choose No, help me install for instructions).
5. Scan QR Code: You’ll be prompted to Scan QR Code. This step identifies and connects to your individual Truck Bed Camera. Once connected, the device will begin sharing its location and other data.
6. Check Setup: The app will perform a Checking setup process, verifying:
   1. Network connectivity
   2. Battery level
   3. Cable connections
7. Activate Live Stream: Once the setup checks are complete, select Activate live stream.
8. Calibrate Camera: A Ford Truck Bed Camera live stream screen will appear with tips for optimal live stream calibration. Follow these tips:
   1. Keep the truck bed well lit.
   2. Ensure the camera area is clear.
   3. Ensure no one is visible.
   4. Close the tailgate. Choose Calibrate camera.
9. Calibration and Activation Complete: After calibration, you’ll see a Calibration and activation complete message.
10. Test Your Camera: Select Test your camera to ensure everything is working correctly.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If the app gets stuck on the Connect screen:

• Close the app and restart it.
• Ensure your Bluetooth^® is on and attempt to connect again.
• If connection problems persist, please contact Customer Support or call 866-861-0419.

How to Unpair the Truck Bed Camera From the Ford App

You may need to unpair the Truck Bed Camera from your Ford app for various reasons, primarily to remove your personal data and disconnect the device from your account. This is often necessary when:

• Returning a leased vehicle
• Selling your vehicle
• Transferring a camera to a new vehicle
• Selling or returning the camera itself

What Happens When You Unpair a Truck Bed Camera?

• The camera will be disconnected from the app
• Associated Truck Bed Camera features, such as livestream, will be deactivated
• All notifications from that camera will cease
• All data related to that camera will be deleted

Steps to Unpair Your Device:

1. Navigate to Device Status:
   1. From the main screen of your Ford app, tap on the “Device status” option.
   2. This will take you to a screen displaying information such as the device’s serial number, battery level, connection status, and camera software version.
2. Initiate Unpairing:
   1. Scroll to the bottom of the “Device status” screen.
   2. Tap the “Unpair this device” button.
3. Confirm Unpairing:
   1. A confirmation pop-up titled “Unpair this device?” will appear.
   2. Read the message carefully: “Unpairing will disconnect the device from the app, deactivate your Truck Bed Camera, stop all notifications, and delete your data.”
   3. To proceed, tap “Unpair.”
   4. If you change your mind, tap “Cancel” to return to the Device Status screen without unpairing.
4. Wait for Processing:
   1. Once you confirm, the app will display an “Unpairing” message with “Please wait while we process your request.”
   2. The app will process your request to unpair the device.

Troubleshooting Unpairing Issues:

• “Cannot unpair. Try again.” message: If you receive a message indicating “Cannot unpair. Try again.” at the bottom of the screen, there might have been a temporary issue. Please try the unpairing process again from step 1.
• If the issue persists, please contact Ford customer support for further assistance.
