Transmission Maintenance Schedules

You can find the recommended transmission fluid type specific to your vehicle in your Owner's Manual, or you can refer to Ford's Chemicals and Lubricants website.

Note: The transmission fluid charts are provided by Motorcraft^® and may not include your vehicle's model year. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for information specific to your vehicle.

Search for the Capacities and Specifications section of your Owner's Manual.

1. Access Ford's Chemicals and Lubricants Quick Reference Charts.
2. Scroll down until you see the Transmission Fluid section.
3. Select the chart that best matches your vehicle's transmission type and what information you have available. 
4. Open the PDF once downloaded.
5. Locate your vehicle and model year or model year and transmission type, as appropriate, on the table.
   
   Note: To find your vehicle's engine size or transmission type, refer to your vehicle's window sticker. If you do not have access to the window sticker, contact the Ford Customer Relationship Center using our Live Chat option or by calling 1-800-392-3673.
    
6. Refer to the key after the table to see which transmission fluid your vehicle needs.

You can find a copy of the maintenance schedule for your vehicle on the Ford Support website. Scheduled maintenance recommendations can also be found in your Owner's Manual.
