How do I download the Ford app and create an account?

You can download the Ford app^* using the App Store® or Google Play™. The Ford app is free to use, and so is creating an account.

Downloading the Ford App

Download the Ford app via your respective platform. 

• iOS® devices: App Store
• Android™ devices: Google Play

Creating a Ford App Account

Important:

• If you already have a Ford Account, you can log in using your existing username and password on the Ford app.
• If you have a new device, or it was lost or stolen, you do not have to create a new account.
  • New device: Refer to the Existing Ford app account and New Device topic for steps on accessing your existing account.
  • Lost/stolen device: Refer to the Device Lost topic for restoration steps. 

To create an account:

1. Open the Ford app on your device.
2. Select Create Account.
3. Enter your email address.
4. Review your email address for errors or missing characters.
5. Select Request Code.
   
   Notes:
   • An email will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
   • If you do not see the email, check your spam/junk folder. 
   • If more than 10 minutes have passed since you requested the code, you will need to request another one by selecting Send New Code. 
     
     
6. Retrieve the 6-digit code from your email.
7. Enter your code in the Verification Code field.
8. Select Submit.
9. Enter the following details:
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • A password containing all of the criteria below:
     • Eight or more characters
     • One special character
     • One number
     • One uppercase letter
     • One lowercase letter
10. Select the box after reading the terms and conditions/privacy policy.
11. Choose Create Account.

You should be directed to the Ford app and prompted to add a vehicle to your account.
