Where can I find my Ford's keyless entry code with an Intelligent Access key?

You can use two programmed keys to retrieve the factory set keyless entry code by following a simple procedure.

To find the keyless entry code with an Intelligent Access key:

  1. Make sure you have the two programmed keys that came with your vehicle. 

    Note: If you do not have a second key, contact your Ford Dealer for further assistance.

  2. Place the first programmed key in the backup slot*.
  3. Press the START/STOP button once. 
  4. Wait 5 seconds.
  5. Press the START/STOP button again. 
  6. Remove the key.
  7. Insert the second programmed key. 
  8. Press the START/STOP button. 

The factory-set code will appear in the instrument cluster located above your steering wheel for a few seconds. Make sure you are ready to record the information.

If it does not display after performing the above steps, visit your Ford Dealer to obtain the keyless entry code. Dealer fees may apply.

Finding the Backup Slot for Your Vehicle

Search for "slot" or "passive key backup" in the Owner’s Manual, and follow the instructions for locating the backup slot.
