Where can I find the Keyless Entry Code?

You can see the factory-set 5-digit keyless entry code on your vehicle's information display. Complete the steps below using both of your programmed keys.

Before You Begin

• Are you locked out of your vehicle? Contact Roadside Assistance at 1-800-241-3673.
• Do you only have one of the two programmed keys required? If you only have one key, contact your Ford Dealer for assistance.

Finding Your Keyless Entry Code

To access your factory-set keyless entry code, determine which key type your vehicle has and complete these steps.

1. Ensure all your doors are closed, your vehicle is off, and you are in a safe, well-ventilated area.
2. Review all the steps, as this process must be completed within 30 seconds.
   
   Important: Do not press the brake pedal during this process.

Integrated Keyhead Transmitter		Insert one of your keys into the ignition. Turn the key to the on position, which is the last position before turning the key to start the vehicle. Do not turn the engine on. Wait 4 seconds.  Take out the first key. Insert the second key and turn it to the on position. Do not turn the engine on. Wait 4 seconds. The factory-set code will appear on the information display briefly. It may not display until after other warning messages have been displayed first. For instructions specific to your vehicle, refer to your Owner's Manual.
Intelligent Access Key  (Push-Button Start Key Fob)		Locate the intelligent key backup slot.  Place the first programmed fob in the backup slot with the buttons facing down.  Press the Start/Stop button once and wait 4 seconds. Press the Start/Stop button again and remove the key. Insert the second programmed fob into the backup slot. Press the Start/Stop button once and wait 4 seconds. Press the Start/Stop button again and remove the key.  The factory-set code will appear in the information display briefly. It may not display until after other warning messages have been displayed first. For instructions specific to your vehicle, including the location of the backup slot, refer to your Owner's Manual.

If you are unable to retrieve the keyless entry code, visit your preferred Ford Dealer, as they may be able to use diagnostic equipment to obtain it. There may be a charge for this service. 

For security reasons, this information can only be provided to you in person by visiting the Dealer. Once there, you must provide them with both: 

• Personal identification such as a valid Driver's License, a state-issued picture identification, or a passport.
• Vehicle documentation with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and your name on it. Examples could include current Vehicle Registration, Certificate of Automobile Insurance, Vehicle Title, or Bill of Sale.
