What do I do if the charge coupler/connector is stuck in my Ford electric vehicle?
If the charge coupler/connector is stuck in your vehicle, follow the steps below to remove the cord from your charging port.
- Make sure your charging session has been stopped.
- Push the unlock button next to the charging port, then pull the charger out.
- If the cord is still coupled to your vehicle, hold down the button on the plug handle and push in towards the plug.
Note: You may hear an audible click.
- Try to firmly pull out the cord.
- If the cord is still unable to be removed, visit the "DC Charging - Stop Charging" section of your Owner's Manual.
