It’s Technology That Drives Us.
Introducing Ford Co-Pilot360™
Available adaptive cruise control takes conventional cruise control to a different level. Lane centering detects the lane markings to help you keep your vehicle centered in the lane.10
Preproduction model shown. Available summer 2018.
Available evasive steering assist can help you avoid the unpredictability of what’s ahead by helping you avoid a collision with a slower or stopped vehicle in front of your vehicle. It provides steering support if the collision cannot be avoided by braking alone.10
Preproduction model shown. Available summer 2018.
*Evasive steering assist does not control steering.
Edge offers a variety of standard and available driver-assist technologies*. Check them out in this short animation.

Available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert can help alert you to vehicles detected in your blind spot. It uses radar in the rear quarter panels when it detects a vehicle entering your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the sideview mirror.10 Cross-traffic alert also uses radar to watch for traffic behind you when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or your driveway. If it detects a vehicle approaching from the side from up to 15 yards away, it provides an audible warning, a visual display in either sideview mirror and a signal in the message center.
Available on 2018 models: Edge, Expedition, EcoSport, Escape, Flex, Explorer, C-MAX Hybrid, Focus, Fusion, Taurus, Transit Connect
This innovative available feature can detect a potential collision with pedestrians and vehicles in front of yours. It’s designed to help reduce the severity of and, in some cases, eliminate frontal collisions altogether.10 If the system’s sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of your vehicle, a warning flashes on the windshield and an alert sounds.* If the driver’s response is not sufficient, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If the driver does not take corrective action and collision is imminent, brakes can apply automatically.
*Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection can detect pedestrians, but not in all conditions and does not replace safe driving. See owner’s manual for system limitations.
Available on 2018 models: Expedition, Fusion, F-150, Mustang
The available Lane-Keeping System helps you stay where you need to be. A camera mounted behind the windshield scans lane markings to determine vehicle position and detect a lane departure, day or night. If it does detect that you’re drifting over, you’ll be warned through a series of steering wheel vibrations. Kind of like driving over a rumble strip. The system then actively applies steering torque, which alerts you to direct your vehicle back into the lane where you belong.10
Available on 2018 models: Edge, Explorer, Escape, Focus, Mustang, Fusion, F-150, Taurus
Backing up becomes so much easier when you have the help you need to see what’s behind. Just put your vehicle in Reverse and slowly back up and the rear view camera automatically shows you what’s behind your vehicle on a display screen.10
Available on 2018 models: Edge, EcoSport, Escape, Expedition, Explorer, Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-MAX Hybrid, Flex, F-150, Mustang, Taurus, Transit, Transit Connect, Super Duty®
Now you don’t have to manually switch from your low to high beams. In the automatic position, these available headlamps will simply turn on in low-light situations. They’ll even turn off automatically when they’re no longer necessary, such as when another vehicle’s headlamps or taillamps are detected, or the windshield wipers are activated. Even when driving under illuminated streetlights.
Available on 2018 models: Escape, Explorer, Edge, Expedition, F-150, Fusion, Mustang, Super Duty,® Taurus
Available enhanced active park assist can virtually parallel or perpendicularly park your vehicle. While you’re driving slowly near parking spots, activate this feature and your vehicle will scan for an available one. Ultrasonic sensors measure your distance from parked vehicles and, once an appropriate spot is identified, you’re signaled to stop to let the system assist. With a few actions on your part – shifting, accelerating and braking – the vehicle can smoothly parallel park or back into a perpendicular parking space.10
Available on 2018 models: Edge, Escape, Explorer, Expedition, Fusion
Available adaptive cruise control takes conventional cruise to a different level. It lets you select the speed and distance you want to maintain from the vehicle in front of you. When traffic ahead slows down, you automatically do too, and later resume the preset speed when traffic picks back up.10 Forward collision warning with brake support can alert you to a potential collision with the vehicle ahead. If you don’t react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase sensitivity, providing full responsiveness when you brake.
Available on 2018 models: Edge, Explorer, Escape, F-150, Flex, Taurus, Mustang, Super Duty®
Think of this feature as cruise control with brains.
Available adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go can bring your vehicle to a complete stop when traffic slows, and can accelerate back up to the preset speed within three seconds of stopping if the vehicle in front moves forward in that time.*,10
*If vehicle is stopped for more than three seconds, driver must intervene and press “RES” button or accelerator pedal to resume system operation.
Available on 2018 models: Expedition, Fusion, F-150
It’s What Keeps You in Command.
Available BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) is designed to alert you when a vehicle is detected in the blind spot of your truck and trailer.10 It signals you in the outside mirror when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot – and provides coverage for the truck you’re driving, as well as the trailer you’re towing. The cross-traffic alert feature can detect a vehicle passing behind when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking spot.
Available on 2018 models: F-150, Super Duty,® Expedition
We’ve just made backing up a truck and trailer a whole lot easier. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro at this often tricky maneuver, the available class-exclusive* Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ makes it as easy as turning a knob.
