Yes. Adaptive equipment required to transport a person with a physical disability is covered, to a maximum of $1,000. *

Adaptive equipment is defined as any installed device that makes it easier for persons with special needs to drive or be transported in a vehicle. Equipment that can be factory installed, or that is considered a factory option by Ford, is not eligible. Equipment which is not clearly related to a specific medical need, such as aftermarket alert hearing devices, swivel seats, pedal extensions and running boards, will require original medical documentation clearly detailing the physical disability or permanent impairment for which the equipment is intended. This documentation must be prepared by a licensed, certified medical professional.

You may take your vehicle to the adaptive equipment installer of your choice. You should verify information, check with adaptive equipment manufacturers and obtain complete references before any services are rendered.

However, vehicle modifications must be done by a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) to maintain reimbursement eligibility.

Yes. The cost of transfer installation to your new vehicle is eligible for a maximum of a $1,000 * reimbursement. Simply submit the receipt to your Ford Dealer as an adaptive equipment invoice.
