How do I change the SYNC®* display settings?

Learn how to adjust the brightness, turn auto dim on, turn the SYNC screen off, and other display features on your SYNC screen.

SYNC 3

  1. Press Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press Display.
    1. Turn Auto Dim On or Off.
    2. Adjust the screen brightness.
    3. Change the screen mode to Auto, Day, or Night.
    4. Touch the Display Off bar to turn the screen off.

SYNC with MyFord Touch®

  1. Press Menu (gear icon) on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Press Display.
    1. Turn Auto Dim On or Off.
    2. Adjust the screen brightness
    3. Change the screen mode to Auto, Day, Night, or Off.

If you choose Off, the screen will go black. Touch your screen anywhere to turn the screen on. 

*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
