24S07: E-Series (2021-2022) Hydroboost Line Leak Recall

There may be a leak or sudden loss of power steering fluid in affected vehicles because the power steering pressure line may not be fully connected to the brake Hydroboost unit.

The fitting between the power steering pressure line and the brake Hydroboost unit may not have been adequately connected during assembly.

Dealers will replace the power steering pressure line and Hydroboost jumper line.

Yes, however, part of the remedy for 22S08 was to inspect power steering lines and the connection between the power steering lines at the Hydroboost unit and replace them if necessary. Vehicles included in this new recall, 24S07, will automatically have parts replaced with no need for an inspection.

It depends on when 22S08 was completed. Vehicles that received a passing inspection for 22S08 on or after January 29, 2023, and those that have not yet completed 22S08 will need to complete rcall 24S07.

Ford is offering a one-time repair to address the small number of vehicles that may experience a leak or disconnection of the power steering lines at the Hydroboost unit more than one year after their 22S08 inspection.

Customers may see a power steering fluid leak on the ground below the vehicle. Some drivers report hearing an audible “pop” if the power steering pressure line fitting becomes disconnected while driving.

We expect parts to be available sometime in June 2024.
