How do I set SYNC Navigation map preferences?

Select a resource in the table below to help you identify your vehicle's SYNC generation.

1. Select the Settings or the Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
2. Choose Navigation.
3. Ensure the map is centered.
4. Select the Search icon.
5. Choose Settings. 

Several map settings will be displayed.

1. Choose Navigation on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
2. Select the Menu icon.

Several map settings will be displayed.

1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
2. Choose Navigation.
3. Select Map Preferences. 

The following map modes are available:

1. Press Navigation on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
2. Press the Red Arrow to toggle between map modes.
   • Heading Up: The direction of forward travel is facing the top of the screen.
   • North Up: The northern direction is facing the top of the screen.
   • 3-D View: A bird’s-eye view and graphical representation of buildings with a certain tourist value in selected cities is on the screen.

Notes:

• Selecting View toggles between different navigation view modes.
• When a route is not active, selecting View toggles between full map and map or exit information modes.
• When a route is active, selecting View toggles between full map, map or exit information view, and map or turn list view.
