What drive modes are available in the Mustang Mach-E®?

Your Mustang Mach-E SUV offers selectable Drive Experiences to fit your driving mood.

Drive Mode Options

  • Engage is the standard mode designed for a balanced combination of acceleration and deceleration response with Soft Blue Ambient Lighting and in-vehicle sounds to enhance the experience.
  • Whisper offers a seamless calm and quiet drive with lighter coasting deceleration response, relaxed steering feel, Blue Ambient Lighting, and reactive cluster graphics. This mode is best for driving in slippery conditions.
  • Unbridle provides an exhilarating drive with more aggressive throttle response, stronger deceleration effects, sporty steering feel, enhanced vehicle sounds, Orange Ambient Lighting, and cluster graphics that react to acceleration, braking, and handling.
  • Unbridle Extended is available exclusively on the GT model and is designed to provide more sustained power for track performance and extends you to enable more RWD-like driving characteristics.
  • RallySport is available with Mustang Mach-E Rally model and is tuned to provide control and confidence off-pavement by setting traction and stability controls to their least invasive settings for optimal performance and vehicle control.

Drive Experiences will remain on each time you start the vehicle.

Changing the Drive Modes

To set your preferred mode:

  1. Tap the Controls icon in the upper-left corner of your vehicle’s SYNC®* screen. This will default to the Drive Modes menu.
  2. Select your chosen Drive Mode from the following options:
    • Engage
    • Whisper
    • Unbridle
    • Unbridle Extended (available exclusively on GT)
    • RallySport (available exclusively on Rally)

Note: You can also choose 1-Pedal Drive** in all drive modes. This allows you to use the accelerator pedal to control the vehicle’s speed and deceleration, even down to a complete stop. 1-Pedal Drive dramatically increases regenerative braking and decreases the need for you to use your friction brakes. Your brake pedal still functions as normal if needed for quicker stopping.
