What do I do if I am having issues with a Ford MyKey®*?

Unable to Create aMyKey

Possible causes for not being able to create a MyKey are:

  • The key used to start the vehicle does not have admin privileges.
  • The key used to start the vehicle is the only admin key. There must always be at least one admin key.
  • SecuriLock passive anti-theft system is disabled or in unlimited mode.
  •  The intelligent access key is not placed in the backup slot for vehicles with keyless start.

Unable to Program the Configurable Settings

Possible causes for not being able to program a MyKey are:

Only Admin Key Lost

If you have lost your admin key, you will need to purchase a new key from an authorized Ford Dealer.
