Ford Pickup and Delivery Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Pickup and Delivery provides an added convenience for customers whose personal circumstances may make it difficult to drop off/pick up their vehicle(s).

Important: If your vehicle cannot be driven and you need to get your vehicle into the dealership for diagnosis/repair, Roadside Assistance must be used for towing assistance to your preferred dealer.

What is Pickup and Delivery?

Pickup and Delivery is an effortless door-to-door experience for customers needing vehicle service. A convenient option, arranging to have their vehicle picked up, provided a loaner, and redeliver their vehicle all without having to come to the dealership. 

Why Pickup and Delivery? What are the benefits?

Pickup and Delivery provides customers with a convenient service option providing them more time, service on their terms, no wait at the dealership, access to a loaner vehicle, and not having to coordinate alternative transportation, trust and transparency for our customers. 

How do I get Pickup and Delivery?

Customers should contact their nearest Ford dealership to schedule a service appointment. Appointments will be arranged and coordinated by a Service Advisor or appointed by dealership staff. 

Note: Scheduling Pickup and Delivery in the FordPass App or via the dealer's website is being developed, tentatively coming quarter three of 2022.

What is the customer process for Pickup and Delivery?

How soon must an appointment be booked?

Pickup and Delivery timing can be scheduled when a customer contacts their dealership for availability. 

What makes or models can be serviced?

All Ford vehicles are eligible for this service.

What Ford Dealerships are program eligible?

Check with your nearest Ford dealership to see if they are participating in Pickup and Delivery. 

Who shows up to pick up my car and provide a loaner?

Your local dealership may utilize in-dealership personnel or a driver network to provide this service. Please consult your local dealer for more information. 

How do we know our vehicles and loaners will be properly disinfected?

Your dealership is required to conduct a disinfecting process for loaners and customer vehicles. 

What key services/repairs are included?

Customer service repairs include retail and recalls. For other options, please contact your nearest dealer. 

How will I know when they will pick up my vehicle and provide a loaner?

Appointment reminders will be sent via the Service Adviser or Driver. 

Can the dealership pickup my vehicle at another location other than my home?

The dealership can meet the customer or pick up their vehicle at the location of their choice, but they must be physically present at the time of service. Please consult your local dealer for more information. 

Will I get an overview of the work completed?

Upon completion of service, your dealership will provide an overview of all the work performed. The Service Advisor will provide the completed Repair Order (RO) for the customer. Some states may require a customer signature for the RO.

What if I decide that I want an additional service or repair to be added?

The Service Advisor will determine if those services can be performed during the current visit or if you will need to schedule another appointment. 

Can dealers charge for Pickup and Delivery?

Dealerships are independently owned and operated. This is a voluntary program that dealers may participate in and they may charge a fee at their own discretion.

Can you tell me a dealership in my area that offers this service for free?

This is a new program and we do not have access to that info currently. We advise you to check with your local dealers to see if they charge a fee. 

When is payment due?

Payment is due upon completion of services. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment options do not accept cash as a form of payment, but are able to review with you what credit cards are accepted for the service(s). A Ford Service Credit Card can be used as well. Customers may be able to pay their technicians on-site. Please consult your local dealer for more information. 

Is Pickup and Delivery complimentary for FordPass Rewards Members?

  • Bronze tier members will be offered one complimentary Pickup and Delivery service per year. 
  • Silver tier members will be offered two complimentary Pickup and Delivery service per year. 
  • Blue tier members will be offered unlimited complimentary Pickup and Delivery service per year. 

Members may also redeem 10,000 points for Pickup and Delivery services.

How late can I cancel my appointment without receiving a late charge?

If I am not home when dealership personnel arrives, will I be charged a fee?

As soon as you realize that you may not be home in time to meet your Pickup and Delivery driver, please contact your local dealer to reschedule. 

If my vehicle is not at the location of the scheduled service, will I be charged?

If I miss my Pickup and Delivery appointment, will I be charged?

Please consult your local dealer for more information. 

If I am home, but a family member has taken my vehicle, will I be charged?
