Why am I unable to set up a new Phone As A Key after uninstalling and reinstalling the Ford app?

If you deleted the Ford app and re-downloaded it to your mobile phone, use the steps below to add a new Phone As A Key™* device. 

  1. Remove the Phone As A Key that was previously associated with your phone in the Ford app or reset Phone As A Key from your vehicle.
  2. Program a new Phone As A Key.

If your troubleshooting is unsuccessful, contact Ford app support using the Account > Help options in the Ford app for additional assistance.
