How do I download the FordPass App and create an account?

You can download the Ford app using the App Store^® or Google Play^™. The Ford app is free to use. Create your account using the steps below. 

Downloading the Ford App

Download the Ford app via your respective platform. 

• iOS^® devices: App Store
• Android^™ devices: Google Play

Creating a Ford App Account

Important:

• If you already have a Ford Account, you can log in using your existing account credentials (username and password) on the Ford app.
• If you have a new device or it was lost or stolen, you do not have to create a new account.
  • New device: Refer to the How do I get my Ford app account on my new phone? topic for steps on accessing your existing account.
  • Lost/stolen device: Refer to the What happens if I lose my device and Ford app is active? topic for restoration steps. 

To create an account, use the steps below: 

1. Open the Ford app on your device.
2. Select Create Account.
3. Enter your email address.
4. Review your email address for errors or missing characters.
5. Press Request Code.
   • An email will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
   • If you do not see the email, check your spam/junk folder. 
     
     Notes: If more than 10 minutes have passed since you requested the code, you will need to request another one by selecting Send New Code. 
     
     
6. Retrieve the 6-digit code from your email.
7. Enter your code in the Verification Code field.
8. Tap Submit.
9. Enter the following details:
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • A password containing all of the criteria below:
     • Eight or more characters
     • One special character
     • One number
     • One upper-case letter
     • One lower-case letter
10. Tap the box after reading the terms and conditions/privacy policy.
11. Select Create Account.

You should be directed to the Ford app and prompted to How do I add a vehicle to the Ford app?.
