How do I adjust the AC charge rate of my electric vehicle?

You can adjust your all-electric Ford vehicle's Types of Charging Systems - Level 1, Level 2 and DC Fast Charging using the in-vehicle touchscreen or the Ford app. Reducing the charging speed can help address a circuit breaker trip at a charger. It may also delay a charge session's end time so that it aligns better with when you plan to return to your vehicle.

Important: 

• This feature is only available on the 2025 F-150 Lightning^® and 2025 Mustang Mach-E^®.
• Your vehicle's AC charge rate is set to the maximum by default.
• The AC charge rate does not reset automatically. To restore your vehicle to its full charging speed, you must manually set it to the maximum charge rate.
