Range shows how far you may be able to travel on your current level of charge. A full charge is roughly comparable to a full tank in a conventional gas-powered vehicle.

Does Speed Affect Range?

High speeds and heavy-footed acceleration have a negative effect on an electric vehicle’s range. Moderate acceleration helps get more from every charge.

Does Temperature Affect Range?

Outside temperatures will have an impact on range. But, here's a trick for electric vehicle drivers: "precondition" the vehicle180 while plugged in. It uses your home's energy to pre-heat or pre-cool the vehicle's battery and can even heat or cool the interior cabin. Easily program your pre-conditioning times based on your schedule.

Winter Driving Tips

Can You Tow With an Electric Vehicle?

With an F-150 Lightning, you bet. However, just like with a gas engine, towing will impact range because trailers naturally add weight and aerodynamic drag. So, plan ahead. Find public charging stations along your route, right from your touchscreen.
