What Is the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)?
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigates safety defects in motor vehicles, sets and enforces fuel economy standards, and promotes the use of safety belts, child safety seats, and airbags.
Ford Motor Company and NHTSA work together to proactively identify areas of concern through investigation of consumer and dealer feedback.
During an investigation, Ford co-operates fully with NHTSA. Due to our rigorous safety standards and constant testing, not all issues result in recall or customer satisfaction programs.
